A common question from people booking their first domestic clean: do I need to tidy up before you get there? Short answer, no. We bring our own equipment, cleaning products and supplies, and cleaning up clutter is part of the job, not something you need to sort out beforehand.

That said, a few small things help the visit run smoothly.

• Clear valuables or anything fragile off surfaces you’d rather we didn’t move
• Let us know if pets need to be secured, or if they’re fine to roam
• Tell us your priorities upfront, if the bathroom matters more than the spare room, say so
• Make sure we’ve got access to the property on the day, that’s genuinely all we need
